French paradox, Maurice Allais was the only French economist to have received the Nobel Prize in economics, but also the only one that none of our political and media leaders have never wanted to listen analyzes and reflections. Is that not belonging to any political family, the man did not hesitate to take positions iconoclasts, to shock the freedom of his analysis: he was particularly expressed for the defense of French agriculture by implementing a "local preference" or for the preservation of national industry by a protectionist policy which he considered "not only justified, but absolutely necessary."
